Alison Carrington-Shaw serves in an executive administrative role at Obesity UK Charity, bringing her extensive experience in education, project management, and public engagement to the organisation’s mission of supporting individuals affected by obesity. She plays a key role in coordinating academic research projects, managing funding applications, and liaising with industry experts to secure essential resources.

Alison also supports Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) initiatives, ensuring diverse perspectives are represented in healthcare research. Her responsibilities include overseeing funding and reimbursements for NIHR projects, collaborating with academic and healthcare professionals, and acting as personal assistant to the CEO.

With a strong background in health, wellbeing, and educational policy, Alison is committed to fostering partnerships and driving innovative solutions to address the challenges of obesity at both community and systemic levels.
